Picture
Pine Rapids (LaSalle Falls)
This picture was taken allegedly accidentally, in November 2002 near Pine Rapids, Wisconsin.
The couple, were on a vacation to one of the parks there.
The Witness Statement
"The
picture was taken around mid-day (if I remember correctly). We did take other
pictures at that site, but I don't remember any of them showing the same thing
as you see in the picture on ..... We didn't notice the "figure" in the
background until we got home and developed the film. We saw and heard nothing
unusual while at the site.
We were at the top of the falls. I was sitting near the edge and my wife shot
the picture facing in the direction of water flow (East I think). "

Well, we have to reverse ourselves on this one. Again sometimes making a photo analysis is the most difficult thing in the world especially dealing with what appears to be a "Blobsquatch" and not having access to the area.
We were right in one aspect, it was not a stump.
When we're wrong, unlike some other organization, we "pony up" say we were wrong and correct it.
We will not pull the page and make this evaluation disappear, just post the corrected one.
The other big difference here, is we continued on with the investigation ourselves. And we found our own mistake.
Staff Investigator David Gay, traveled to the area (LaSalle Falls) located near Pine Rapids Wisconsin on August 23rd, 2006 and took the photo in the same general direction.
We were able to do this because David actually had gotten the GPS coordinates from the submitter. David himself did not see what the photo analysis show. With the naked eye the original photo's looked good.
The foliage hid the formation but upon enlarging the photo, the characteristics seen in the original photo, were more clear.
Upon receiving the photo I scrutinized them and realized that it was a natural object and that the original analysis, was in error. After reading David's report, I realized that the item(s) responsible for this were the large rocks such as those in the foreground, that had caused this anomaly.
The bottom line folks is we were wrong, initially, but stayed on the case. And came up with the truth.
Persistence pays off.
Read on below for the final analysis.

Our Final Analysis of the Picture
Squatchdetective.com has come to some conclusions:
1. The picture allegedly was taken accidentally. We have received the index print for the roll of film and it corroborates this claim.

2. The photo was not altered via a computer imaging program. We have received a scan of the negative and it disputes any claim of digital alteration.

3. We have studied the sun placement and find it consistent with the time the claim originally stated it was shot.
4. We believe that the submitter did not intentionally deceive us.
5. The anomaly in the film is a natural formation of rock and is NOT an animal or creature.
